Boker Plus Cop Tool

As a paramedic and racetrack rescue team member, I’ve used most rescue tools on the market, from the Benchmade Rescue Hook to cheap seatbelt cutters. None has the durability of the Boker Plus Cop Tool. This multitool has cut many seatbelts, pried a few doors and, used as a standard knife, tackled all of the tasks I've put to it over the past year. It has required minimal sharpening, and the finish remains in excellent condition. With the included sheath, it fits nicely on my zip-up workboots or on my waistband. Pry, chisel, cut, scrape or pound, the Cop Tool has always pulled through for me.

A cool tool is anything useful that is superior to comparable items. If you think this tool is inferior suggest a better one. You are welcome to insult a tool, but comments containing insults to individual people will be deleted. Corrections of fact are always welcomed, if stated politely. Recommendations of better tools are dearly wanted and may be elevated to the front page.

All right, how do I open a beer bottle with it?
karsten
It may not open a beer, but if beer has got you into a wrapped up car on its side, this might get YOU out of the car's seatbelt;) But all joking aside you can always grasp the neck of the bottle with one hand, and place the tip of the blade under the bottle cap and pry against your thumb. It isn't a quick flick, which will hurt and not open the bottle, but a slow constant increase in pressure, which will build up force until the top pops off. If it doesn't work you are either doing it wrong or have girly hands. It works with any metal object, be it a fork at the dinner table, a pocket tool, or a $40 EMT knife.

Man, the interior of that seatbelt hook must be sha-a-a-a-arp if it's effective. Most seatbelt cutters I've seen seem to have a large slot to corral the belt as it's slit.
Maybe one doesn't need such help if they're a pro?

I've wanted one of these since I saw it in Blade magazine.
It seems like a design hat would benefit from a neck sheath though. Is one available?

I believe they were originally designed at Wilson Tatical, and Boker have licensed to mass produce them.

Cool. But I think I'll look into the $30 version. :)

I have the $35 version, and I use it to open bottles all of the time, using the sharp corner where the strap cutter is.
It's a great knife.

@ Christopher......If you can't open a beer with anything within arms reach, you
need more imagination and practice.....J
