Fiber Optic Flashlight Adapter

This tool is nothing more than a short fiber optic wire attached to a rubber hood, which goes on the end of a Maglite or equivalent. It completely gets rid of the problem of aiming a flashlight beam into a small hole. Just insert the end of the adapter and voila, the inside is lit up and you don't have to contend with all the glare from the light hitting the edges of the hole. Comes in 7" and 20" versions.

It's simple, inexpensive, and essential.

I bought one of these Fiber Optic Flashlight Adapters from a Grangier store. The lights are terrible. The light does come out the end, but it is really weak. I was thinking it would be as bright as the flashlight, but let me put all of the light in a concentrated area. Instead, you cant even tell the light is on until the end of the fiber optic cable is a fraction of an inch away from a surface. And even then it is still dim. It is a good concept, but it is poorly executed with the design. I'll continue to look for something else.
