Phil & Ted's E3 Buggy

After a year of experience using Phil and Ted's E3 stroller, with two-kid kit, we think it's simply amazing.
The handling on the E3 stroller is superb. Unlike side-by-side strollers, the width on the E3 is no problem, and the front wheel pivots so you never have any trouble negotiating the tightest areas. Medium sized real tires mean it's no trouble to move over uneven terrain (dirt paths are easy). Construction is excellent, and the whole unit moves with the smoothness and solidity of a well made machine.
It's not the lightest stroller you can buy, but we bought the travel bag accessory and have checked it on multiple airplane flights with no trouble at all. Folds well enough to fit in the back of our car when we take day trips as well.
Of the various ways you can set-up the stroller (see their website) we've had, by far, the most experience with it setup for two seated kids. My wife was concerned that the back seat would be a tough sell on for the kids, but our 3 year old seems to prefer it, which was a surprise.
At $380 for the basic unit, we thought hard about spending that much money on a stroller. But to this day, we remark on how GOOD that purchase looks in retrospect. We use it daily -- well worth the extra money in our view.

Phil and Teds Sport Stroller
This is an absolutely wonderful stroller, the e3 is now known as the sport (I provided a link) and it's the best purchase i've made for my baby

I'm much less thrilled with the E3. After 2 years, mine has fallen to pieces.
The fabric at the hinges and on the footrest has torn and frayed. I had expected to use it for my second child; it seems very unlikely to last that long.
The rest of the fabric is quite discoloured. I suspect they do not use good UV proofing.
Caveat Emptor.

They've stopped making the e3, Phil & Ted's has a whole line of e3 like strollers now with stylish colors.
We got the E3 version 1 about five years ago. It's on its third child. It has been abused. It has been through two bottom package carriers (which we constantly overload and they scraped the ground), a foam handle (which got torn up by the airlines), a set of tires, and a pair of axles (from overloading the stroller).
It's beat up, but it's still in good shape. Parts were easy to get (tho they are harder to find for the E3v1 now). Outside of two umbrella strollers, it is the only stroller we ever owned and I feel the $400 we spent for it, were well worth it.

I have to agree with Adam and disagree with Brian: the construction leaves a lot to be desired. We have a Sport (as noted above, formerly called the E3) and several things have flat out broken. Two of the plastic fastener clips have lost teeth. One of the metal snaps that secures the sun shade popped out.
Most annoyingly, we've killed two rims. Why? The tire is rated to 40 lbs, but the rim is rated for 22 lbs. I don't know about you, but I look for the PSI rating on the tire, not the rim. P&T would not refund the rims.
Are we tough on strollers? Maybe, but we also bought a Bugaboo Frog stroller, two years before the P&T, and so far, all that's happened is that the foam cover on the handle has ripped a bit, easily fixed with electrical tape.
All in all, the P&T needs to be babied, which isn't good for a stroller.
