Zip-It Drain Cleaner
I bet this cheap tool is the best bargain on this site. For 2 dollars you get a flexible 24" plastic probe that will remove an alarming amount of hair and gunk clogging your sink or shower drain. It descends easy. You can snake it down without taking off the usual drain plug. The many little reverse (and very sharp!) spines hook hair balls and other unmentionable crap as you carefully back it out. It removes grunge that liquidators won't budge. Sold as disposable, a cautious wipe will keep it going forever. We have a very hairy household; I can't keep the plumbing going without it.

Home Depot wanted $5.00 at the time I bought it, but according to some of your emailers, they are selling for as low as 99 cents at ACE. Thanks for a great stocking stuffer present.

Yes! 5 minutes' time removed what looked like a full head of hair, and completely fixed my slow drain. I had no problem removing the hair from the Zip-It; with a little care it is reusable. I feel better about using something like this than the solutions that shove the clog further down the pipe. Found mine at Lowe's for $2.25. All Home Depot had was a picture of one.

I've had my Zip-It for a few years and used it many times.
I stay up at night worrying what I'll do when it breaks and I can't find another one.
The Zip-It ranks up there with the very best inventions like Saran Wrap and sliced bread.
