QS Resource Links
Gary Wolf
IntroductionWe have been compiling a simple list of QS-related resource links. At some point this may morph into something more detailed, but for now it is just provided a reference tool so that you can easily see some of projects and companies that have been mentioned on the blog, presented at the QS Show&Tell meetups, or send in as tips by members of our group. Special thanks to Alexandra Carmichael of CureTogether for helping to put this list together!

I’d add: http://www.bubbletimer.com
I use http://www.fitclick.com to track my food and weight
I have also compiled a list of personal informatics tools at http://personalinformatics.org/tools/ . The list is organized by category, and you can filter by platform type (desktop apps, mobile apps, or web sites). I add tools regularly, so feel free to get updates from it.
Don’t bother with MapMyRun. That silly program gives different distances every time you map the same route. Completely inconsistent and maddening.

Hi, I recommend this one: http://www.polar.fi/en
This article reviewing a few activity monitoring/time tracking services on the web: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703410004575029402709924656.html
I’ve been using Eternity on my iphone for over half a year to log what I do throughout the day and night. It’s completely customizable—you define your specific categories of activities however you want, to whatever level of detail you want. It’s very well designed for fast tracking of activities: you can quickly log when you change activities. The interface is much faster to use than some competing apps for daily tracking. I keep my iphone on me all the time, at home and at work, and have trained myself to remember to log what I’m doing. I’ve gotten to where I have 23+ hrs of the day accounted for. It exports in CSV format, so that you can email yourself a detailed log of the whole month, pull it into your spreadsheet and do whatever analysis you want. I’m saddened that not more people know about this app, because it’s so perfect for the life logger.

I have nothing to do with the developer or the app; I’m just a really happy user :-).
